QQuestions:
Is it appropriate to have video camera surveillance in a dining room where staffs have meals with no expensive apparatus or belongings stored there?
AReply

According to the provisions of the Principles Concerning the Protection of Personal Data in the Workplace: Guidelines for Employee Monitoring issued by this Bureau, surveillance should be confined within the boundaries in which employees perform work-related activities; where there is no special need, it is not advisable to install video camera surveillance devices in places where staff have their respite.
