Sitting rooms are where workers take respite; people may have personal conversations there. The PDPB recommends that employers avoid the use of any surveillance in sitting rooms. However, other measures of supervision may be advisable; for example, the manager may assign a certain quantity of tasks to the workers on duty, or make overseeing tours around the workplaces. As to installing surveillance device in the security room, this is all very well as the security room is for this purpose. Surveillance may enhance institutional and operational security, so one can proceed with the installation there.
